'GTA 5' Gameplay Update: New Mod Brings Single-Player Campaign Co-op Mode, See Details Here
A "Grand Theft Auto 5" aficionado has created a PC mod that turns the game's single-player campaign into a co-op story mode.
The "Multiplayer Co-op 0.6.1" mod, which can be downloaded here, was put together by modder Guadmaz. Players can now take on the main narrative and complete missions with their friends. Given the fact that the new cooperative story mod doesn't tamper with the features of "GTA Online," players who install the script don't have to worry about getting banned from the official multiplayer mode.
VG24/7 pointed out that Guadmaz's brainchild is still relatively young. Players will experience a handful of gameplay issues like lag, glitches and frame rate drops from time to time.
As is the case with most mods, players should exercise caution in incorporating updates to the original base game. Several fans on GTAForums have reported that some mods contain malware. Check out the YouTube video from RoboticGamer below, which takes viewers through the basics of the "Multiplayer Co-op 0.6" mod. It should assist gamers in deciding whether or not it's worth the download.
The new mod may not be the most important update for the game, but it does give a refreshing twist to the main narrative. To date, Rockstar Games has yet to provide further notifications regarding the status of the game's story DLC.
While waiting, gamers have a collection of mods to choose from, most of which completely changes "GTA 5." For example, "The Pinnacle of V" mod by Josh Romito enhances the game with 4K visuals while reworking elements of the gameplay to make it more realistic. Those who want to download the comprehensive mod can access it here.
"The Pinnacle of V" adds audio-visual improvements, upgraded relationship dynamics, practical weapon destruction and smoother vehicular controls.
Crowd levels have been increased in certain areas, depending on the time of day. DLC cars and pedestrians spawn more naturally in traffic. Meanwhile, every motorized transport in the game has been tweaked to deliver realistic crash physics, top speeds, handling, avoidance control and AI control.
In-game relationships have been reworked so that police, gangs, animals and pedestrians become more accommodating to players. When players get up close to NPCs, it will take a longer time before they flee.
The comprehensive mod uses the all-new Reshade & ENB configurations to provide better color balance. Lastly, texture upscaling has been made to plants, bushes, grass, water, blood, vehicles, stars and the moon.
