New PS4 games along with other PlayStation console games are arriving this week. Two Earth Defense titles are arriving for Sony PlayStation consoles.

One of the PS4 games, with a release date set Tuesday, Dec. 8, is Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of Despair, according to US PlayStation blog. Furthermore, Kotaku noted that it is a remastered edition of Earth Defense 2025.

As described on Metacritic, The Shadow of Despair for PS4 offers improved graphics and framerates, in addition to more than 50 percent of new content. In the game, players will choose from one of four different playable classes and customize their weapons to lead NPC troops to fight "against hordes of seemingly endless giant bugs, robots, and other colossal enemies."

Local co-op and versus modes for the game is available for up to two players. However, the online co-op mode allows up to four players to team up against the massive group of adversaries.

Another EDF game coming is the PS Vita version of Earth Defense Force 2. According to Kotaku, it is the second installment for the Global Defense Force series and a highly-anticipated and long-awaited US release.

The Four Kings Casino and Slots is also set to be released. Available on digital versions only, this game will offer a "social multiplayer casino experience" to players. The PlayStation Blog noted that those who will avail the game can make their own avatar, gain rewards and win big from favorite casino games such as Slots, Poker, among others.

Guns, Gore and Cannoli is a new PS4 title to expect this Tuesday. Players will take the role of Vinnie Cannoli who's mission is to "to find a Goodfella who has gone missing." However, as the mission begins, players will realize that Thugtown is controlled by zombies and other evil creatures. Guns, Gore and Cannoli in an "over-the-top, comical and fast-paced action game with hand-drawn graphics set in the Roaring Twenties," as described on its official site. It features a four-player local co-op mode.

Zotrix also arrives for the PS4 this Tuesday. It is an arcade space shooter game inspired by the popular arcade shooting games in the 80's and early 90's. "Designed for all generations, it contains missions with nice and colorful enemies while focused on the arcade element of gameplay," US PlayStation blog described.
