Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles recently took to Instagram to warmly wish her daughter's husband Jay Z a happy birthday and proudly declare him the son she never had.

Of all the problems the hip-hop mogul may have, his mother-in-law apparently isn't one.

"Happy Birthday to my handsome, brilliant, loving son," E! Online reports Knowles wrote in a post that has since been deleted. "The son I never I had, but I have now. I love you Mama,"

Later, the "Empire Stand of Mind" rapper took to Twitter to share some of his own feelings on his 46th birthday, posting a pic of an amazing mountain view he simply captioned, "My view. Thank you everyone for the love. Humbled."

Superstar wife Beyoncé refrained from feting her husband online, but the two were recently spotted on a date night in Las Vegas.

All the intimacy and expressions of affinity may be enough to put an end to some of the rumors still percolating, which indicated the couple was on the outs and perhaps even headed for a split.

"Bey is sick of keeping up the ruse of happiness and she's done," a source said, adding tension with her husband is the reason the star hasn't given an interview to the media for 18 months.

"It's like she's on lockdown and doesn't want to be asked about her marriage or why she and Jay haven't had another child," the source added. "But in private, she's already told friends and family that she's moving forward with her life. She'll soon make a public announcement that their marriage is over."

Word is that neither artist has worn a wedding ring in months, and Beyoncé recently had the Roman numeral IV tattoo, which signified their wedding date, removed from her ring finger.

In addition, Beyoncé is reported to suspect that her husband might have a thing for Rita Ora.
