It appears as though Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has taken aim at Amazon, Jeff Bezos and The Washington Post in a series of tweets that were quite disparaging to say the least.

According to a report by The Washington Post, who was also a part of the story, Trump seemed to take aim at the duo of companies and Bezos, who has stock in the newspaper and is the founder of online retailer Amazon.

In the first tweet, Trump criticized Bezos saying The Post was a tax haven for Bezos and Amazon with no ability to turn a profit.

The next tweet mirrored the rhetoric of the first one and even threw in a comment about screwing the "public" with his tax shelter.

The third tweet is where the source of his ire seemed to come to the surface. He pointed out how The Post has been telling his Republican opponents how to beat him, which seemed to light his fire.

But Bezos was not about to let Trump's baby fit go unchecked. He fired back at him with an indirect insult to the real estate business mogul with a special tweet of his own. "Finally trashed by ‪@realDonaldTrump. Will still reserve him a seat on the Blue Origin rocket. ‪#sendDonaldtospace," Bezos wrote in the tweet.

It also seems as though his new hashtag has maybe caught on for Twitter fans because it has already been liked over 7,000 times and people have really taken to his new idea.

But as The Post so brilliantly pointed out, Trump was once again wrong on his assertions and did not share true facts.

The truth is, Amazon does not own The Washington Post. Nash Holdings are in fact the owners and that is Bezos' company. But that has nothing to do with Amazon and its other shareholders. It is only isolated to Bezos himself.
