New York Giants Coach Tom Coughlin Says Goodbye to New Jersey Home
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin says goodbye to New Jersey home.
Coughlin, the 69-year-old football mentor, has listed his Park Ridge property for nearly $1.18 million, New York Post reported citing its listing on Zillow. The single family residence, built in 2002, was purchased by the NFL coach in June 2004 for $1.23 million. This means that Coughlin will actually not make any profit from its sale but will even lose some of his investment he shed 11 years ago.
Yet, the next owners will still find this New Jersey property a great find, basing on its features and images on the site. Its listing on the real estate site described it as a residence that will give the next owners "a good blend of warm" feeling with its "inviting" ambiance and "gracious living."
The 4,287-square-foot abode comes with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Other living areas of the two-storey home are a dining room, living room, kitchen, billiard room, study or office section, deck and wet bar.
Interior details include naturally lit rooms courtesy of several large glass panels, use of carpets, hardwood floors, recessed lighting, custom-built cabinets, ornate hanging lights and light color motif, which is pleasant to look at.
Outdoors, the pristine landscaping makes the New Jersey estate a more relaxing and charming place to stay. There is also an attached garage to accommodate the next residents' vehicles.
NJ.com noted that the reason Coughlin is selling his house is that he downsized to a smaller house in Wyckoff, New Jersey worth $720,000 for practical reasons.
Coughlin's job at risk?
The two-time Super Bowl winning coach marks this year as his 20th season in the league, per Pro-Football Reference. He coached Jacksonville Jaguars for eight seasons and spent 12 seasons so far with the New York Giants.
However, Coughlin is on the hot seat, Sports Illustrated reports. The Giants reportedly have a 5-7 win-loss standing this 2015 season and may not make it to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.
Yet, this issue on Coughlin makes Miami Dolphins coach Dan Campbell uneasy, NJ.com noted. The Dolphins and the Giants will clash on Monday, Dec. 14, the site informed.
"It makes me a little uneasy, to be honest with you. Because I know what coach Coughlin does when the heat gets turned up. He rises to the challenge. And he's as good as anybody, if not better, when you feel like you are in a hole, he finds a way to get them out," Campbell said.
Will the Giants beat the Dolphins to earn their sixth win?
