The first huge Fallout 4 update for PS4 has arrived. Meanwhile, the patch for the Xbox One is expected to arrive later this week.

GameRant noted that the PS4 update for Fallout 4 arrived five days after the release of the latest beta patch for PC version. The game developer also shared that it is planning to release smaller updates for the apocalyptic role-playing game more often than Fallout 3 and Skyrim.

The announcement regarding Fallout 4's PS4 and Xbox One update was made through the official Twitter account of Bethesda. Check out the tweet below:

According to GameRant, update 1.2 for the PS4 version of Fallout 4 brings in bug and glitch fixes as well as improvements in game's stability and performance. Specifically, game publisher Bethesda Softworks forum page provides the patch notes for the latest update.

According to the notes, performance in Corvega Assembly Plant has improved. The patch also fixes several issues such as players getting stuck in terminals, weapons bring locked once players completed Reunions and the problem with "When Freedom Calls" in which the quest would not complete.

Furthermore, Fallout 4 update 1.2 offers optimizations to rendering of skinned decal and fix game crash happening when reloading saved games and jumping into water.  

Fallout 4, developed by Bethesda Game Studio, is an open-world action role-playing video game released just last month. Players will be taking the role as the only survivor of Vault 111 who will "enter a world destroyed by nuclear war," MetaCritic described.

"Every second is a fight for survival," it further noted, adding that every choice will be made by the players to "rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland." The PS4 version got a MetaScore of 87 and 6.3 for User Score in the website.

A review cited in Metacritic written by Digital Chumps shared that the game is "another amazing achievement from Bethesda Studios." The game "encompasses beauty of its brethren, while introducing a bigger, better world for gamers to explore and reside in," it further shared.
