The Golden State Warriors are one win away from having the second-longest winning streak in NBA history when they visit the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Friday night. The Warriors are currently at the tail end of their seven-game road while the Celtics are looking for their fifth-straight home win.

Golden State improved to 23-0 and 13-0 on the road when they defeated the Indiana Pacers last Tuesday, 131-123. Klay Thompson exploded for his season-high 39 points with seven rebounds and six assists. He also shot 10 for 16 from 3-point range while shooting 62 percent from the field.

"It was one of those nights where I got a lot of great looks. Going in I felt great. I felt like I was due for a game like that," Thompson said. However, he suffered a sprained ankle towards the end of the game and was questionable to play against Boston.

The defending champions are currently without Harrison Barnes, who is out for another week also due to an ankle injury while Leandro Barbosa is questionable to an illness that kept him out against Indiana. Interim head coach Luke Walton will have to dig deeper from his bench.

"One of the great things about this team is our guys are confident all the way down the line. We've seen that consistently with Brandon Rush and Ian Clark filling in for Harrison," Walton said.

The Celtics are looking to halt the Warriors 27-game winning streak and they have what it takes to do it even though they have no clear superstar in their roster. Isaiah Thomas comes closest as he led Boson to a 105-100 win over the Chicago Bulls last Wednesday.

He scored 20 points with five rebounds and five assists and took over late, scoring nine points in the final quarter. It was a total team effort by the Celtics as seven other players scored in double figures including 15 points from Kelly Olynyk and 13 points from Jae Crowder.

"Just knowing any given night you don't know who's going to be that guy, that's the strength of this team. You can't just focus in on one guy because we've got so many other guys who can put the ball in the basket and make plays," Thomas said about Boston's depth.

The Warriors have won four straight against the Celtics, sweeping the last two season series. Tip-off in Boston starts at 7:30 p.m. ET and is available via NBA League Pass. It will also be broadcasted locally on CSNHD and CSN Bay Area.
