Double XP Weekend for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Begins Today; Nuk3Town Map Coming Next Month?
Double XP weekend for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is scheduled to start today. Game developer confirmed the news via a Twitter post.
Treyarch shared that Double XP Weekend starts Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 am for Pacific time and 1 pm EST. This event for Call of Duty gamers is set to end on Dec. 14.
This will allow players to acquire double XP while playing the game's online mode. Attack of the Fanboy specifically noted that it will be available to those who will play the game's multiplayer mode as well as the Zombie mode.

Funny, it turns out there weren't any objections to a 2XP weekend, so we'll flip it on tomorrow at 10am/PST. pic.twitter.com/Ex5OGzzJKR

Design N Trend also reported a recent hotfix released for the game. Accordingly, 37.25.35.4 hotfix is now available for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Call of Duty Black Ops 3. It brings in weapon tuning as well as "prevention of streaks from locking on when entering the play space and more fixes to players farming Cryptokeys," the post noted.
For the weapons that received improvements, from the assault rifle category, KN-44's and HVK-30's ability to control recoil was increased while XR-2's movement speed was reduced. M8A7's fire rate was lessened.
Some shotguns got modifications as well. RM-262's 3-hit kill was removed. Meanwhile, Treyarh added lethal range for 205 Brecci and Haymaker 12.

As for other recent news, Geek Snack reported that a new map for the game might be released next month. Accordingly, details about Nuke3town map circulated online.
Made available as a pre-order bonus, Nuke3town map for CoD Black Ops 3 will apparently be available on the PS Store beginning Jan. 26.
Aside from the news about the map, various screenshots also popped up last month. These show unlockable contents from Call of Duty Black Ops 3 such as Hero camps, which according to Geek Snack will take too much time to unlock -- a challenge gamers will like.
