Former UFC featherweight champion and pound-for-pound king Jose Aldo is still feeling heartbroken after his 13-second loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 194 last Saturday. A day after losing and saying he wants a rematch, "Junior" is still not changing his desire to have a chance to redeem himself.

"It still is too hard to digest. We trained hard, did everything right, and the result wasn't positive. It takes a while for us to digest, but its part of the sport. It's a sport and we have to accept," Aldo told Combate as translated by MMA Fighting.

"So, there wasn't even a fight, right? Only 13 seconds. But, man, it's hard to say know if it's his success or my mistake. It's a quick decision, and he was able to connect a good punch when I tried a combination," he recalled.

The former champion was visibly shaken up and upset as he was in tears when he was interviewed by Joe Rogan after the fight. He was embarrassed in front of his friends, family and fans that he was in great despair at the locker room, evidenced by the video below per MMA Mania.

Aldo also said that he thinks he deserves a rematch based on his credentials as the former champion. UFC President Dana White has already talked to him about a possible rematch but said that it is too soon to make it happen.

The 29-year-old went undefeated for more than 10 years and was reigning over the featherweight division in WEC and UFC for six years before his loss to McGregor. He was also considered the best fighter in the world after the loss of Anderson Silva and the suspension of Jon Jones earlier in the year.

"We spoke with Dana White right after. But I think it's too soon to talk. Of course, I want a rematch, and I think I have this right. Not only me but my career speaks for itself," Aldo said.

The rematch itself is very hard to do right now as "Notorious" is planning to move up to challenge the Lightweight champion and Frankie Edgar just earned himself a ticket to fight for the Featherweight title. McGregor's coach, John Kavanagh, revealed in the latest edition of The MMA Hour that they are considering fighting the winner of the Rafael Dos Anjos-Donald Cerrone title match in April and facing Edgar in July.

McGregor's next fight may very well set a UFC live gate and attendance records with his next fight possibly held at Croke Park in Ireland. The stadium is the third-largest in Europe with an 82,300 seating capacity.
