TV actor Mike Colter talks about his superhero character in his own Netflix series, "Luke Cage."

Colter told Vulture that "Luke Cage" will "pick up from the place where we left off" in the other Netflix show, "Jessica Jones." Cage and Jones are romantically involved in the Krysten Ritter-starrer drama.

"You'll learn more about him and where he came from. It's not a total departure from where we were with the 'Jessica Jones' series, but it is more about him as a person. He's growing into himself and trying to figure out who he is as a superhero. Once he learns who he is, he will be able to use his powers and give back," said the actor who also appeared in "The Good Wife" as Lemond Bishop.

The 39-year-old tells more about the superhero who has indestructible skin he is portraying. He says that Cage will have a personal journey, where he will try to understand himself better, which will lead him to a better human being.

"The growing pains that he's going through in the series, I think, will resonate with a lot of people. Ultimately, I hope he can make people feel like we're on the upswing," the Columbia, South California native celebrity added.

The actor is hoping that people who will watch the show find it an inspiring one. He suggests that there are many aspects in his life that many people may be able to relate to. Thus, he is also optimistic that his character will be someone whom people will love to root for or "cheer on" as he embarks on his journey.

In the season finale of "Jessica Jones," Jones revealed her true feelings for Cage while he was unconscious, a separate article of Vulture noted. When he woke up, he learned from Nurse Claire (Rosario Dawson) that Jones was arrested because of murder charges. Cage surmised that she may have already avenged herself from her powerful tormentor Kilgrave (David Tennant). Upon hearing the news, he fled and decided to go somewhere.

Where did he go?

Colter told Comic Book in October that viewers will see him "uptown in Harlem, working, trying to make ends meet." Colter noted that Cage does not yet have a concrete plan so he will be tending a bar and bouncing around.

Apart from possibly appearing in "Jessica Jones" Season 2, he may also have a cameo in another action-packed show, "Daredevil" Season 2.

CBR Trailers uploaded a clip on YouTube suggesting that Cage will grace the series, that tells about the story of the blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) also known as Daredevil.
