Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE Update: Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Available via Custom ROM
A new custom ROM for Samsung's 2014 phablet is now available. Based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, BlissPOP is now compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Team Android reported that the latest custom ROM released for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is based on the most stable version of the official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware, describing that BlissPop ROM is "one of the best custom firmwares" currently available.
Furthermore, BlissPop ROM for Galaxy Note 4 brings in various customization features and offers a stable and fast performance. However, those who are interested in installing the custom ROM should determine first that they have the correct model.
According to the post, BlissPOP is currently compatible with the LTE version bearing the model number SM-N910F. To verify the phablet's model, users simply need to check Settings, go to About Device and look for Model Number.
Another thing to secure before installing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE is a reliable recovery tool. It is necessary to make a backup of all the essential data and settings that are saved on the phablet.
Using a custom ROM can wipe clean the phone's memory. Thus, experts are recommending the use of ClockWorkMod tool or TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) for the backup and to be able to flash BlissPOP ROM on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The phablet's battery should also be at least 80 percent before installing a custom ROM. Galaxy Note 4 needs to be rooted as well to guarantee a successful Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update via BlissPop ROM.
According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 started to hit the shelves on October 2014. The 5.7-inch screen phone and tablet hybrid sports a Super AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560p.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the smartphone's display has a pixel density of 551 ppi. The main camera has 16MP lens sensor with OIS, LED flash and autofocus functionality while the selfie shooter has 3.7 MP lens. Other features of the phablet's cam are touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama and geo-tagging.
