Stephen Amell is a lifelong DC Comics fan and the star of The CW's "Arrow" as the main character Oliver Queen. In a live Q&A session on his Facebook account, Amell admitted that he is open to playing any Marvel character for its cinematic universe.

"Sure, why not? I'm up for roles, movie roles, although I've never really read Marvel Comics and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But it's not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero, I'd be like "No, I can't,'" Amell said as quoted by Screen Rant.

If ever the Canadian actor gets a chance to play a Marvel character, it will not be the first time that an actor has done a crossover from one studio to another. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje played a role in Marvel Studios' "Thor: The Dark World" in 2013 and he's set to appear in Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment's upcoming "Suicide Squad" film in 2016 as Killer Croc.

The 34-year-old actor has already joined a different comic-book based project as he is set to portray Casey Jones in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" next year alongside Megan Fox. He is also unsure on the future of the "Arrow" TV series because the plans for it is to run for just five seasons.

"We were always built to be a five-year show, which is a very courageous thing to plan for when you're just in the pilot stages of something. But that doesn't mean that we can't go six or seven seasons. I can't really picture beyond that. But we'll see. I'm having a blast," Amell said, per Comic Book Movie.

MTV suggested a few Marvel characters that Amell can play if he ever gets a role in any MCU films. The most obvious role for him is Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye. The Green Arrow and Hawkeye are both archers, and with Renner in his mid-40s, Amell is a good replacement if ever Marvel decides to find a younger actor.

The report added that he is also fit to play Daredevil and The Punisher in film reboots. A "Moon Knight" Netflix series is rumored to be added and Screen Rant noted that Amell is perfect for the titular role. He could also just return to WWE and battle Stardust in a one-on-one match.

"Arrow" will be returning from its Holiday hiatus on Jan. 20, 2016 with a new episode titled "Blood Debts." You can check out the preview of the episode below.
