'GTA 5' Update: Online Feature's Adversary Modes Now Giving Away Double RP, In-Game Cash
Beginning this week, all "Grand Theft Auto Online" Adversary modes will be giving away double the amount of Reputation and in-game currency.
There's also a new game type arriving this week called the Extraction mode, where organizations hunt or rescue VIP players from a crashed jet, per VG 24/7. Needless to say, the latest mode also rewards players with twice as much RP and cash.
"GTA Online" players should take as much loot as they can since the double Reputation and cash deal will most likely last through the weekend. If players are persistent enough, they might save up enough money to purchase the game's new Super Yacht.
The latest free update for "GTA 5" known as the "Executives and Other Criminals" DLC also has a new Adversary mode called "Piracy Prevention" in which players defend their assets aboard the luxurious Super Yacht from attacking players and Seasharks.
Rockstar stated on its official news website that the free expansion pack allows players to become VIPs, as long as they have in-game currency of over $1 million in their Maze accounts. VIPs can form their own organization and hire a maximum of three other players as bodyguards.
From the new "SecuroServ" menu, bodyguards can set their status as "looking for work." Once adopted into an organization, bodyguards can expect to be paid a periodic salary of $5,000 in "GTA Online" funds.
VIPs can arm their bodyguards with ammo and cars, including the new Turreted Limo. VIPs also have in their disposal a service called "Ghost Organization." When enabled, it temporarily hides an organization from the game's radar.
This isn't the first time Rockstar has rewarded "GTA Online" fans with extra incentives and content to try and lure "GTA 5" players to hop into the game's multiplayer mode. The developer's addition of Freemode Events, which you can learn more about here, has kept players engaged. This makes the game relevant more than two years since its release.
There's also the "Every Bullet Counts" mode, which pits players against each other inside a confined arena with a limited amount of ammo. Read full details here.
A few months back, a Take-Two Interactive financial report listed "GTA 5" as having sold 220 million copies worldwide. With Rockstar constantly rolling out updates to the game's multiplayer mode, those numbers will only continue to rise.
In addition, "GTA 5" is poised to receive a price cut sometime in the near future, adding further revenue to the popular open-world game.
"GTA 5" and "GTA Online" are currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
