The first official trailer for the Netflix revival of "Fuller House" has been released and fans of the original show will be quite nostalgic when they see it. The show has also disclosed its official release date on the streaming platform, which will be next year on Feb. 26, 2016.

According to Deadline, "Fuller House" picks up where the ABC family comedy "Full House" left off, with the same amount of time that has passed since fans last saw the Tanner family. It also pulls on the theme that was originally posed in the first series.

Just like its predecessor, "Fuller House" sees original series star D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) returning to her childhood home to raise her three overzealous and adventurous sons. She had recently lost her husband and she needs help from her friends and family to raise them.

So she does exactly what her father did way back in the late '80s. She moves into the picturesque San Francisco home and invites her sister Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) to join her.

Mirroring the original series, Stephanie is still a single woman who also happens to be an aspiring musician, much like her uncle Jesse. Kimmy is also a mother to a teenage daughter and she moves both of them into the house where they all join forces as a nontraditional family.

Stephanie, Kimmy and D.J. are the parental figures to four kids, which in every respect is exactly how the first show was set up, to portray a kinship between adults who care about each other and their children.

The series will also feature the guest appearances of series alums John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale).
