'Homeland' Season 5, Episode 12 Spoilers: Exciting Promo for Season Finale [Watch]
The promo for the 12th and final episode of "Homeland" Season 5 has aired, and it looks like it will put last year's disappointing finale to shame.
Last week's episode, "Our Man in Damascus," ended on a cliffhanger with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) running down a train tunnel in pursuit of the terrorist Qasim (Alireza Bayram).
Carrie caught sight of Qasim in a crowded station, where it seemed he was having doubts about his plan after seeing a woman in hijab with her child.
In the trailer for Episode 12, "A False Glimmer," it looks as if Carrie will be forced try to reason with the terrorist, after he disarms and restrains her.
"There are hundreds of people on the platform. Thousands in the station," Carrie pleads to Qasim. "That train will push the gas everywhere."
Meanwhile, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) will continue to seek out Allison Carr (Miranda Otto) after discovering that the Russian agent tricked him yet again.
Allison will undoubtedly try to escape, but the trailer appears to show her handcuffed and escorted into a house by two men. Are we being faked out?
Viewers will also find out what happens to Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend), who was left in a dire condition after Carrie and Saul were forced to wake him from his coma to obtain information. The surgery looks to be successful, but will there be any lasting damage? If so, it'll be interesting to see how this will affect and Carrie and Quinn's relationship going forward.
Regardless, it's all but certain Carrie will be back for another season of "Homeland." The International Business Times have obtained some photos of the finale, a couple of which show Carrie alive and well with her boss, Otto During (Sebastian Koch).
The season finale of "Homeland" will air Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime. Check out the trailer below!
