'WhatsApp' Update 2.12.389 for Android Rolls Out, Brings Bug Fixes for More Stability
Users of the WhatsApp application might be interested to know that the app's developer focused on improving WhatsApp that they are able to release updates every now and then.
Just recently, Blorge reported that a new WhatsApp update 2.12.389 has already been released for its Android platform. Although there weren't many features confirmed for the WhatsApp app, the news is that it will finally implement video calling on its Android platform. Currently, the WhatsApp update 2.12.389 doesn't have any new features; instead, it has been developed in order to fix the minor problems that have been bugging the app.
As an addition to that, the WhatsApp update will back up more stability as well as create a better user experience once it is installed. It is also important to note that WhatsApp update 2.12.389 is being launched as a beta version, which means that this it's a test update that will determine what else needs to be fixed within the app. Once WhatsApp has established good performance, Google puts it in the Play Store for everyone to download and install it.
Since the latest WhatsApp version 2.12.389 for Android is currently in its beta form, users will have to download it from a third party provider. The APK file will need to be downloaded on your device before you can start installing it. By now, you must be very familiar with the norm, which requires you to enable Unknown Sources on your device to fully download the beta version of WhatsApp update 2.12.389. Once you have enabled that, download and installation will be as easy as when you take it from the Google Play Store.
Meanwhile, Borge reveals that WhatsApp has found a new rival under the name LINE. LINE works similar to WhatsApp, making it a rather stiff competition when it comes to free calling and messaging. The only difference as of now is that LINE is popular only in Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand, whereas WhatsApp has been used by millions around the world.
LINE's bid to create identity worldwide has led them to introduce their new social networking site called "Tale." But for now, WhatsApp is currently trending on the free call and messaging world, and users will continue to receive updates such as the WhatsApp update 2.12.389.
