"Grimm" fans will have a lot to look forward to when the midseason premiere airs next month, including the unexpected return of actress Bitsie Tulloch.

Despite Juliette's tragic death at the end of Season 4, viewers were shocked to see Tulloch return to the show during the finale moments of the winter finale last week.

In the episode, "Wesen Nacht," Juliette appeared while Nick (David Giuntoli) and his crew were fighting off an ambush by the Wesen uprising, also known as Black Claw. Nick and viewers alike were then stunned when Juliette stepped into the light.

However, Tulloch revealed that she will not necessarily reprise her role as Juliette in the second half of Season 5. Instead, she will play a woman named Eve who shares many of Juliette's memories, but is far from the woman who Nick wanted to marry. Eve also has ties to the Black Claw and is extremely dangerous.

"It's not really Juliette anymore. It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing," said David Greenwalt, the co-creator of "Grimm," about Tulloch's new role to TVLine. "She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw."

Greewalt also teased that Eve "has a big scene with Nick in Episode 7, and she's just a completely different person who doesn't even relate to Juliette anymore -- because, to her, Juliette's dead."

The executive producer went on to reveal that fans will finally learn what really happened on the night that Trubel shot and killed Juliette with two arrows.

Tulloch also opened up about her new role, telling TVLine that "Juliette's flesh and blood, her DNA, is still alive. But this is not Juliette."

The actress said that Eve has a strong handled on the Hexenbiest skills that Juliette had trouble managing.

"The new character is all about reining it in in and utilizing this in the best possible way, not wasting an ounce of this incredible power that she has," Tulloch said.

She also went on to describe Eve as "very bad-ss" and "almost robotic."

"It's not so much that she's ruthless, it's that she's very calculated and all she's focused on is getting the job done," she added.

"Grimm" Season 5 Episode 7 will premiere on Friday, Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
