'GTA Online' DLC: Festive Surprise 3.0 With New Snapmatic Photo Challenge Arriving Tuesday?
A Christmas DLC for GTA Online is arriving this week, according to a recent Yahoo News report. A YouTube member with the username MrBossFTW provided details about Festive Surprise 3.0.
The latest Yahoo report revealed that Festive Surprise 3.0's release date may be set for early this week. Based on the release history of previous DLCs, GTA Online's Christmas DLC 2015 might arrive on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
News about the potential release date for Christmas DLC for GTA Online was triggered when game developer Rockstar seemed to have posted critical details about the upcoming Snapmatic photo contest on one of its latest announcements on Newswire. Rockstar usually offers a photo challenge to gamers before it releases huge game updates and DLCs.
MrBossFTW, also known as Ross, explained that the GTA creator unintentionally revealed the terms and conditions for the Grand Theft Auto 5 Festive Surprise's Snapmatic photo challenge. However, it was deleted by Rockstar upon realizing the mistake.
According to Yahoo's report, the deleted post discussed the mechanics of the photo challenge event, such as participation, criteria of judging, schedule of event and more. It noted that the actual event will begin on Dec. 21 at 12:01 a.m. ET and will run until Jan. 5, 11:59 p.m. ET.
The report cited the possibility that the launch of Festive Surprise DLC for GTA Online might coincide with the Snapmatic photo challenge event, which, as aforementioned, begins Monday. However, since Rockstar had not released any DLC yet on a Monday, experts are guessing that the Christmas DLC will arrive Tuesday.
