Imagine being 6' 5". That would be pretty tall right? You'd be one of the tallest guys in your town probably. But imagine being 7'5". That's nearly unfathomable right? Liberty Christian High School basketball player Taco Fall is that tall. That makes him the tallest high school player in the country.

Former Orlando Magic center Pat Burke brought Fall over from Senegal to Central Florida in order to maximize his basketball skills.

"He has a (variable) that people fear," said Burke, who owns a basketball training facility in Mount Dora and works with Fall on weekends. "He needs to remember that when he is posting up."

Among Fall's many talents is his ability to touch the rim without jumping. However the Dakar, Senegal native's basketball advantageous height isn't always a good thing.

"When I walk through the door, every once in a while I forget to duck, and I'll hit my head," Fall told Joe Williams of the Orlando Sentinel last November. "I hit my head on the ceiling fan in [Liberty Christian coach Paul Archer's] house the first time I was there. It almost knocked me out. It hurt."

Still, with all that height some bloggers and fans of the hard court can't understand why Fall's stats, with particular emphasis on his paltry blocks per game numbers, are so low.

One of those bloggers, Matt Rudinsky of Sportsgrid, isn't hating on Fall, he's just flummoxed. Rudinsky writes, "How the hell does a 7-foot-5 kid average 1.3 blocks per game?!?"

That's odd, no? But nevertheless, syracuse.com wrote that Fall "averaged 11.1 points [and] 5.0 rebounds." Those are pretty good stats for a big man, especially one whom hasn't been playing ball for that long.

But what if Taco Fall doesn't have game and he just has the misfortune(?) of being so lengthy? Well, he's got a plan B. Fall also wants to graduate college and embark on a scientific career.

"I'm hoping to play professional basketball," Fall said, "but at the same I time I want to be a biochemist."

This anti-one-and-done stance likely precludes him from being considered by the University of Kentucky Wildcats ball club.
