Newly engaged "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria is considering soon starting her own family with fiance Jose "Pepe" Baston.

"I just turned 40, so I have thought, 'Is time running out?'" she recently told People magazine. "I should be thinking about [children]."

Either way, Longoria stresses her "life is full," and that figures to be even more true now that she and Baston are planning to walk down the aisle.

The two announced their engagement earlier this month while vacationing in India, where Baston got down on one knee in front of the Taj Mahal. Ever since then, the "Telenovela" star has been literally counting her blessings.

"They've been such a gift in my life," she said of three children Baston has from a prior marriage. "I don't feel like we are lacking because we don't have a baby."

The two commenced dating in 2013, and according to USA Today, the 47-year-old president of Televisa, known to his friends as "Pepe," is regarded as one of the hottest names on the Latin American entertainment scene.

Friends marvel Baston has long been sweeping the twice divorced Longoria off her feet, leading her to openly rave about the new man in her life.

"I'm attracted to humor and intellect in a man," she said. "Let me tell you, I'm very lucky in my life."

Longoria has previously been married to NBA star Tony Parker and actor Tyler Christopher. Her marriage to Parker lasted four years, while she and Tyler parted ways after just two years.

"They're a gorgeous couple, and I've never seen her happier," longtime friend and "Devious Maids" star Ana Ortiz said of Longoria. "I am so thrilled that she has someone who is not intimidated by her and who is not afraid by her power, her beauty, her friendship and her drive."
