The hottest rumors from the WWE this week involves an update on Kalisto's status backstage, a lingering injury on Stardust, the latest on the location of WrestleMania 33 and more.

Backstage News on Kalisto

According to the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio via Wrestling Inc, some WWE officials are not high on Kalisto despite his talents as a high flyer. WWE has been known to dislike giving significant pushes to wrestlers small in stature and one-half of the Lucha Dragons is listed only at 5'6" tall.

However, he is still featured on television regularly, even scoring an upset win over Ryback in the WWE World Heavyweight title tournament. Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan were also held back due to their size, but it didn't stop them to become WWE champions.

Injury Update on Stardust

Stardust has not wrestled on television or at live events since Dec. 7 and he may be suffering from an injury. Ric Flair said on his WOOOOO! Nation podcast that the superstar from the fifth dimension is having some neck issues.

WWE or Cody Rhodes has not confirmed the injury and Dave Meltzer noted via What Culture that Stardust is indeed injured and the company is just taking a precaution that is why he has not been wrestling since early December. WrestleMania season is coming and WWE will need all the superstars they have with all the injuries on the roster.

WrestleMania 33 Location

Many people believed that the announcement for the location of WrestleMania 33 will happen last Monday when RAW was on Minneapolis as Minnesota was the favorite to host the event. No official statement was made and PWInsider reports that there are still no concrete plans on where WrestleMania 33 or even 34 will be held.

The speculation started this summer when WWE officials were said to be looking at the new $1 billion NFL Vikings stadium in Minneapolis named U.S. Bank Stadium. The venue has already booked Super Bowl 2018 and the NCAA Final Four 2019 with a capacity of 65,400 up to 73,000.

Where is Natalya?

The former Divas champion has not appeared on television since Nov. 9 with her feud against Sasha Banks getting halted. Natalya is not injured, but WWE has no current plans for her because the creative team is focused on the three Divas stables on the roster even though the Divas Revolution has fallen flat due to bad booking, per Ringside News.

WWE Scouting Lucha Underground Stars

Lucha Underground and AAA stars Angelico and Jack Evans are claiming that WWE has offered them contracts twice, as reported by Cageside Seats. However, they have decided to stay with Lucha Underground as Season 2 was already announced and the possibility of Season 3 in the near future.
