Fox will be premiering its latest animated comedy "Bordertown" on Jan. 3, and the series is sure to please those looking for Latino representation and humor.

According to Fox, the show is led by executive producer Seth MacFarlane, the creator of "Family Guy," and Mark Hentemann, a "Family Guy" writer and creator of "Bordertown."

The show stars Hank Azaria, Nicholas Gonzalez, Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle, Judah Friedlande, Efren Ramirez and Jacqueline Pinol. The series hopes to take on the challenge of presenting cultural changes in America through comedy.

It is set in Mexifornia, a fictional desert town located in the Southwest, blending Mexico and California. The main plot will focus on two different families living in Mexifornia: the Buckwalds and the Gonzalezes. The patriarch of the Buckwald family, Bud, is a Border Patrol agent and is threatened by the changes that his neighborhood is experiencing due to its Latino residents.

Next door to Bud and his family of five lives Ernesto Gonzalez and his family, who have been living in the United States for several years. Ernesto is a hard working man who has achieved the American dream and lives comfortably. The fact that Ernesto lives slightly better annoys Bud.

The two families will interact on a regular basis, causing a lot of drama and comedic moments because of Bud's jealousy, Ernesto's always positive attitude, and their cultural differences.

In a teaser released by Fox, viewers can get a look at what's to come from the series. The clip features moments like Bud complaining to Ernesto that he can't have a nicer house than Bud's family because they have been in the country longer.

To help make sure that the show has a believable Latino perspective, the show hired cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz, famous for his comic "La Cucaracha," and writer Gustavo Arellano, who is popular for his "Ask a Mexican!" column, to serve as consulting producers, reported The Huffington Post.

Alcaraz will also serve as a writer for the show, in addition to five other Latino writers.
