Play Minecraft On Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PS4 & PlayStation Vita: 4J Studios May Have Teased Possible Next-Gen Games
Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One users that are fans of the critically-acclaimed video game Minecraft may finally see long-awaited versions for both consoles soon. 4J Studios, the game's developer for current-and-next-gen consoles, tweeted a photo that has Gameranx thinking the company is gearing up for new releases.
On Friday, 4J Studios tweeted a photo featuring a bottle of Perfect Dark Rum in celebration of its game Perfect Dark being sold for 70 percent off on Xbox Live Arcade.
"Perfect Dark XBLA is on sale at 70% off just now! Perfect reason to finally open this ;)," the company tweeted.
In the photo, there is a save screen on the television that is connected to a PS4, an Xbox One controller is on the table, and so is a PlayStation Vita with Minecraft on its screen. 4J Studios has said in the past that they are developing versions for the PS4 and Xbox One, but no date has been given yet.
While PS4 and Xbox One fans still have to wait for their Minecraft versions, anyone with about $7,000 to spend can purchase a large scale Android version of the game from Ideum that designed a coffee table with a 32-inch or 46-inch interactive screen built into it. The Platform Multitouch Coffee Table runs Android KitKat but can also be available in Windows 7 or Windows 8 and uses a 3M projection captive touch surface, according to CNet. Ideum specializes in developing large-scale multitouch devices used at museums and corporate offices.
For those who can't quite afford the steep price for the Android coffee table, Ideum, which began shipping the product recently, is also offering rentals in the U.S. and Canada. The tables are built to last as Ideum's products are used to being played by millions of children and adults visiting museums and can withstand the inevitable liquid spills, according to CNet..
