Meek Mill Reignites Drake Feud on New Diss Track
Meek Mill appears to be reigniting his simmering feud with Drake, blatantly threatening the rapper on a newly released diss track.
According to TMZ, on his new "Dreamchasers 4" album, Mill taunts, "I can't wait until we run into ya, Ima put a gun in ya."
The running war of words between the two commenced months ago, after Nicki Minaj's boyfriend charged that her best friend doesn't write his own rap lyrics. More recently, it appeared the feud between the two might be tapering off a bit. But now it seems clear Mill still harbors great disdain for the "Hotline Bling" rapper.
Either way, those close to Drake insist he won't be losing any sleep over the situation.
"For Drake, when it comes to Meek Mill, he thinks he is a complete joke," a source said, according to Hollywood Life. "He feels that Meek should worry about making himself a success on his own merits instead of trying to diss him to make himself look good. Talking a big game and doing varying diss tracks against Drake is only making Drake laugh about everything and he thinks all the stuff that Meek is doing and has been doing is all just lame threats."
Many point out, given Mill's recent run of tough luck, Drake should now be considered the least of his worries.
The rapper was just found guilty of violating his probation for a drug and firearms conviction. MTV reports he could face jail time when he is sentenced sometime next year.
During the trial, the rapper told the judge, "I'm not a gangsta. I'm not a criminal. I have my queen, Nicki [Minaj] now. I'm trying to do better and feel like I can be the best rapper out there."
While he awaits sentencing, the Philly rapper has been ordered not to leave a five-county area near the city.
