2014 MTV Movie Awards Stars and Hosts: "The Other Woman" Star Nicki Minaj Sports Simplified Look & New Movie
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards brought us lots of great moments. Rihanna and Eminem gave a flawless performance of their hit single "Monster," Zac Efron was half naked and Johnny Depp... well... He showed his face. But what everyone is talking about today is rap superstar Nicki Minaj, who stunned viewers with her toned down classy look!
The rap diva hit the scene with loud make-up, colorful wigs and outrageous outfits. Often compared to the gimmicks of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj wanted to turn heads. But it seems like the Young Money star has decided to go back to her "mix-tape" roots and show us Onika Maraj (her real name). If you follow the "Starships" rapper on Instagram you have noticed that her selfies have drastically changed. No more long fake eyelashes, tall wigs or animated outfits, these days she's just Nicki from Queens.
With her new single "Lookin' A** N**ga" topping the charts and her film debut on The Other Woman, Nicki is showing the world a more intimate and classy side of her. She stole the show when she arrived at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards in a black curve-hugging Alexander McQueen dress, gold cuffs on her arms, coin earrings and a goddess gold necklace. She was just breathtaking. Ms. Minaj seemed to have an idea of what her glamorous real hair, accompanied by some extensions and highlights, and her subtle makeup had started. She posed seductively for pictures as if the red carpet was her very own photo-shoot.
There to support her co-stars Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton, Nicki took the stage and everyone's attention. Her beauty was so simple and natural that it took the entire room by surprise. The Other Woman hits theaters on April 25 and we can think of more than four reasons our boyfriends might just want to tag along.
What do you think of Nicki's new look? Why do you think she decided to go back to the simpler look?
Watch her stun the red carpet below.
