The 2016 Nissan Sentra is actually more a refresh, rather than a full-blown new model.

According to Motor Trend, the refreshed base model is only $250 more expensive, compared to the previous model, but the prices go up to a staggering $1,450 when opting for the top-of-the-line variant.

Good news for driving enthusiasts, the base Sentra S, which clocks in at a $17,615, comes paired with a six-speed manual transmission. But those who want a more relaxed driving can opt for the Xtronic CVT variant, but is priced at $18,465.

Standard features on the base model include Bluetooth hands-free phone, cruise control and a four-speaker sound system. And for those looking to have an increased fuel economy of 30 MPG for city and 40 MPG for highway, they can opt for the FE+S model that costs $18,865.

For those wanting a little extra luxury, they can choose the Sentra SV. Priced at $19,385, it comes with a push-button start, a 5.0-inch color display, a six-speaker audio system, NissanConnect with Mobile Apps, a rearview camera and SiriusXM compatibility.

The SV variant also comes with 16-inch aluminum allow wheels, a power moon roof and illuminated vanity mirrors.

Buyers also have the option to build their own Sentra, to choose features that they want on their own car.

According to CarScoops, the 2016 Sentra comes with a new steering wheel and an all-new dashboard, which includes the center cluster, audio display design, console and a new shift knob. The seat fabrics were also refined and the auto on/off headlights feature is made available for all variants.

Moreover, the new Sentra now features a new Active Understeer Control system, which is available for all variants except the base model S and FE+S.

This feature is similar to the one used on the new Altima and utilizes intelligent control logic and high-response brake actuators to brake the inside front wheels during cornering in order to increase yaw rotation.

Nissan proudly said that because of the Vehicle Dynamic Control system implemented, in addition to the Traction Control system, the Active Understeer is almost undetectable.

However, its external design is somewhat bland, but its practicality and interior features will make even the most discernable car buyer consider this car on their purchase.

The 2016 Sentra comes in a Deep Blue Pearl exterior color, but there are also nine more available other colors to choose from.

According to Edmunds Car Reviews, all variants of the 206 Nissan Sentra comes equipped with a 1.8-liter, four cylinder engine that gives an output of 130 horsepower.
