Rocky Carroll is set to continue expanding his "NCIS" role during the upcoming second half of Season 13.

Carter Matt reports the veteran actor who stars as Leon Vance is set to direct the upcoming "Déjà Vu" episode slated to air on January 19. Carroll also directed the "Viral" and "We Build, We Fight" episodes that aired in 2015.

In "Déjà Vu," the team stumbles across an international human-trafficking ring while probing the murder of a seaman who was scheduled to testify before a grand jury.

The website adds the episode will also be highlighted by McGee being forced into a sleepover at the home of a colleague's after a massive storm causes major damage across the entire city.

The second half of the season is also slated to feature a two-part crossover storyline with "NCIS: New Orleans" that will prominently star Abby Sciutto (Pauley Perrette).

According to IBTimes, the crew member finds herself rushing to the side of her chef brother after everyone aboard a Washington, D.C. to New Orleans flight he served are mysteriously found to have been poisoned.

The "Sister City" themed episodes will also bring together Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his D.C. team and Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) and his New Orleans operation, as they work side by side in hopes of unraveling the mystery. The shows will air in back-to-back episodes on Jan. 5, commencing at 8 p.m.

Thus far, ratings for the ongoing "NCIS" season have been consistent, leading to the show already being renewed for another season.

TVLine now also reports two new characters are expected to be added to the Season 14 cast. At this point, all that's publicly known about their roles is that they will be series regulars within the cast.
