The new trailer for Disney's highly anticipated animated film "Zootopia" has been released, and it includes a snippet of Shakira singing the film's theme song, "Try Everything."

Released on Dec. 31 by Disney Animation, the new trailer helps paint a picture of what life is like in the fictional city of Zootopia. The zoo version of New York features habitat neighborhoods that host a melting pot of various types of animals living peacefully.

The main storyline focuses on Officer Judy Hopps, voiced by "Once Upon A Time" actress Ginnifer Goodwin, and her struggle to prove herself as the first bunny on the police force. To show that she has what it takes, she joins forces with a scam-artist fox named Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) to crack a crucial case.

Byron Howard, whose previous animated films include "Tangled" and "Bolt," and Rich Moore, who worked on "Wreck-It-Ralph" and "The Simpsons," directed the animated film. The project was also co-directed by Jared Bush. Clark Spencer served as the film's producer.

The film also stars Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, J.K. Simmons as Mayor Lionheart, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Octavia Spencer as Mrs. Otterton, "Saturday Night Live" alum Jenny Slate as Bellwether, and Shakira as Gazelle, who, like the Colombian superstar, is a huge popstar.

On Aug. 14, on the same day as the D23 Expo, the singer revealed her involvement in the film on Twitter, sharing a photo of her character and adding that she would also contribute to the film musically.

At the D23 Expo, fans were shown a taped video from the singer announcing her role, and were able to hear a clip of the film's theme song, which was written by singer-songwriter Sia and songwriting duo Stargate, reported USA Today.

"Zootopia" will be released in theaters everywhere on March 4. Check out the new trailer below.
