TCL is known best for offering affordable TV sets, but this year the company has plans for an ultra-premium display with Quantum Dot 4K technology.

The TCL X1 line of TVs will be 65 inches in size and make several improvements on past models, TechRadar reports. The most important feature that the X1 line will have is DolbyVision HDR technology.

Thanks to TCL's partnership with the audio and video leader Dolby Laboratories, TCL will add HDR technology to the X1 line, marking the first time that TCL has included the technology.

HDR will make the screen on the new device appear much brighter, up to 40 times brighter than standard TVs, Dolby claims. The picture will also be extremely clear thanks to 288 zones of direct LED local dimming throughout the set.

TCL and Dolby are hoping to have a lot of HDR programming available for the X1 line of TVs. They have contacted major streaming service providers, including Vudu, to make sure that there is enough content for owners of the X1 to watch in HDR quality.

The TCL X1 will have a 1,000 nit 4K curved display and will offer quality Harman Kardon sound built right into the set.

The device will be available in China in March, before it will come to the U.S. in the second half of the year. The price is not yet known, but the TV is expected to be very expensive.

TCL also announced that it will be releasing 4K Roku TVs. The company will offer the 4K Roku in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inch sizes. There will also be a special 4K Spotlight Channel that will help users see what is available from Roku in 4K.

TCL's final announcement at CES Tuesday was a huge 110-inch 4K curved TV. It will share most of the same features as the X1 series, but on a huge display.
