'Arrow' Season 4, Episode 5 Midseason Premiere Spoilers: Oliver Seeks Revenge Against Darkh [Videos]
The synopsis for the midseason premiere of "Arrow" reveals that Oliver (Stephen Amell) will go on a bloodthirsty mission to seek revenge and kill Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) when DC Comic-based series returns from its winter hiatus.
As fans may recall, the Season 4 winter finale ended with a shocking cliff hanger after Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) was shot when Damien Darhk's ghosts opened fired on Oliver's limo, shortly after he proposed to her. It remains to be seen if she will survive the gunshot wounds and, if so, what type of affects they will have on her.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode, which is titled "Blood Debts, reveals that Oliver will suffer "devastating consequences" following Damien's attack and will thus strike back.
"Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the devastating consequences of Darhk's (guest star Neal McDonough) last attack. Seeking revenge, Oliver goes on a brutal manhunt looking for Dahrk," it reads, according to Carter Matt.
Meanwhile, the trailer video shows Oliver plotting to find Damien as quickly as possible. The preview also features intense fighting scenes between Damien and Oliver and a touching moment between Oliver and Diggle. In another clip, Felicity's mother and Oliver appear to be worried as they visit Felicity in the hospital.
During a recent interview with Bello magazine, Rickards revealed that Felicity "is sincerely in danger."
The actress added that, "Felicity is right now completely not on this planet. So, it's going to be a little bit of a devastation, and it will be interesting on how it's dealt with. You have to keep in mind how strong she is, and hopefully that strength will prevail and keep her around," she said.
The midseason premiere of "Arrow" will air on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
