Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez to Ink Endorsement Deals
Miss Colombia could be on the verge of scoring her own crown after all.
TMZ reports reps for the Miss Universe runner-up, Ariadna Gutiérrez, are currently in talks with Burger King about the prospect of the beauty starring in a commercial for the company. Word is one of the high-powered managers that reps for Sofia Vergara is working on closing the deal. The ad Gutiérrez would star in would be a spot for a kids' meal where everyone gets to keep their crown.
Gutiérrez infamously burst on the scene after Miss Universe host Steve Harvey wrongfully declared her the winner of the contest over Miss Philippines, only to see the host correct himself and take away her crown moments later.
In addition, Gutiérrez is rumored to also be in talks with Corona about starring in a commercial that features her on the beach enjoying a cold beer. Reps for Gutiérrez are also rumored to be in discussions with Victoria Secret about her doing some work for the company, which she has long admired.
Meanwhile, Gutiérrez reportedly remains outraged at both Harvey and pageant officials, and she hasn't taken any calls from either camp.
Earlier this week, Harvey lamented as much, telling reporters, "She's the only one I haven't had a chance to talk to. I've had a chance to talk to Miss Philippines. I've talked to all the pageant people. I've talked to people backstage. Even me and the director had a long talk. But I haven't been able to reach out and talk to Miss Colombia."
Harvey is also defending himself against rumors he didn't go to many rehearsals leading up to the show and perhaps wasn't as prepared as he should have been.
"First of all, I went to more rehearsals than I've ever gone to for anything," he said. "I did the entire table read, which is how they go through the whole script with you, except they don't know the winner yet."
