According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the previous version of "Rocket League" did not fail on the chart and gave subtle but steady reviews. Psyonix took this as a cue to improve the next installment of the game and they did not disappoint their fans.
When "Rocket League" was launched in July 2015, it made a significant impression among PlayStation 4 and PC players. To this day, the game is basking on its accumulated 10 million supporters across the globe.
A lot of this achievement can be related to the marketing strategy of Psyonix, where "Rocket League" came free for PS+ Window. Players were able to download and play the game without additional costs.
Despite the game charging $20 for its PC version, gamers weren't disheartened and the sale of "Rocket League" on PC continues to surge. Out of the 10 million accumulated numbers of players, at least four million of it came after the game's free trial on the PS+.
Meanwhile, PlayStation Life Style said that because of the success of Rocket League's "Snow Day," they have decided to extend its presence on the game, saying, "We're glad that there's been such great love for Snow day so we've extended its stay! See you on the ice."
Snow Day is about Rocket League's soccer ball turning into a hockey puck accompanied by other winter items. "Rocket League's" six months success has also awarded the game with its very own website.

The website is the company's way of thanking their fans for their unending support and it will also serve as an interactive tool, where fans can post their comments and suggestions about the game through the new website.
An excerpt on the company's New Year's Day greetings said, "It's about six months since Rocket League was released, so it seems like a good time to thank you all for joining us on this journey. We started this site with the intention of it being a fun side project that might help out a few players, but we like to think that it has become so much more than that. The growth we've seen as Rocket League flourished has been far better than any of us could have ever could have expected."
