Beyoncé, Jay Z Celebrate Daughter Blue Ivy's 4th Birthday
If history is any indicator, Blue Ivy Carter had one heck of a day on Thursday, when the young celebrity celebrated her birthday.
IBTimes reports Jay Z and Beyoncé's bundle of joy celebrated her fourth birthday this week. In the past, the couple's only child has highlighted the special day at the center of a princess themed New York City bash, where she was gifted an $80,000 diamond-encrusted Barbie doll.
The celebration is reported to have also featured nearly $100,000 worth of roses, $30,000 in costumes and a cake costing more than $2,000.
"Nothing's been too big or expensive for their little princess," a source said. "They wanted her first birthday to set the tone for the rest of her life. They work hard for their money and the first thing they want to spend it on is their baby girl."
By birthday No. 2, the "Drunk in Love" couple had graduated to feting their daughter at the Jungle Island interactive wildlife park in Miami, which they rented out for the day. Us Weekly reported Carter also later received a mini blue Ferrari and pink Cadillac as gifts.
Last year, the theme of the party was the hit film "Frozen," reported to be one of the young Carter's favorites. As for the party itself, guests were left to marvel at an ice sculpture of a snowflake, highlighted by a rainbow colored cake.
Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed their daughter to the world at New York City's Lenox Hospital in early 2012, where security was extra tight. Since then, the couple has regularly celebrated her over their various social media platforms, including posting pics from the family's "Coming To America" themed montage back in November.
Meanwhile, E! Online reports mother Beyoncé has signed on to be a part of the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl 50. Coldplay and Bruno Mars are also slated to perform.
