WhatsApp Beta Version Update for Windows 10 Now Available, Devs Remove Loading Screen
Among the several updates WhatsApp has already released, this one might just delight you with few perks on enhancement.
According to TNH Online, WhatsApp Beta Version update for Windows 10 doesn't come with a new feature but somehow makes the update easy on the eyes by offering some few enhancements. WhatsApp for Windows 10 now loads faster, ditching that few seconds a user has to wait before the app actually loads on the screen. It might be a subtle update, but it does make a faster and more practical app.
Currently, that has been the only thing worth mentioning on the WhatsApp Beta Version on Windows 10. Unlike its Android counterpart, where it periodically receives updates, the Windows 10 WhatsApp went ahead unnoticed.
Recently, news about the WhatsApp app finally getting the video calling feature surfaced online, but none of it has been confirmed by the developer. Until then, users of the said app may utilize the text and call features. Take note that the latest update is currently on its beta version, which means that you may find some glitches apart from its main purpose, but that should be fine because once the final product is launched, everything will be fixed.
It is also worth noting that the WhatsApp's beta version will not land on all Windows 10 gadgets. Instead, it will only be applied to those who registered for such testing. What's interesting about any WhatsApp update is its ability to launch in such a short period of time, making the application available to everyone on the platform. Once the developer starts to integrate the video calling feature, Windows 10, Android and iOS will run on the same pace carrying the most coveted feature of the app for now.
Meanwhile, according to GSM Arena, the India-based Hike Messenger accused Facebook of blocking their ads on the popular social media site. Hike Messenger, an upcoming rival of Facebook's WhatsApp, implied that Facebook deliberately blocked ads that directly put users to the app's website.
In a statement given by a Hike spokesperson, he said, "Advertisers have, among other options, the option to 'send people to your website'. A few weeks back we were suddenly blocked from using this option, while we were able to use other non action-led options."
The company tried to reach Facebook for an explanation wherein they were told about some restrictions when advertising on the social media site.
