Marvel continues its reign on television with the first spin-off for its television hit "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." dubbed "Marvel's Most Wanted". The show has already been in development for a few months now, but it was finally acknowledged by ABC and more details have been revealed.

According to a report from Deadline, ABC executive Paul Lee spilled on the network's latest superhero series during the Television Critics Association (TCA) panel. The executive confirmed that ABC has already ordered a pilot for the much-awaited spin-off, adding that it will be worked on in the near future.

"We are making it in the next few months," Lee said during ABC's turn at the panel. "It's a really good script."

Showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon spoke more about what's in store for Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) in an interview with IGN during the TCA press tour. The actors, who will be starring in the new project are currently regulars in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", so "Most Wanted" could spell major changes for both shows.

"Logistically it does mean they're going to be leaving to make that," Whedon explained. "They're a part of our show. We definitely think they are capable of carrying an entire other show. That being said, it's sort of bittersweet. We're very excited about the new show."

Tacharoen agreed, saying the characters brought different things to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." that will be missed by the team.

"It's very bittersweet because we have a bunch of females on the show who kick ass," she added. "It was so nice to have Adrianne be one of them, and then also just when it comes to the humor, just having a moment of levity, Hunter was there to have those one-liners. ... That was something we could always bet on."

She added that Bobbi and Hunter's exit could very well be a temporary one saying, "We will miss them, but that doesn't mean they're gone forever because, as everything in the Marvel universe, it's all one universe."

Although the "awesome" script has yet to be elaborated by the team, the executives assured that the transition to "Most Wanted" will be a natural course for the two characters from S.H.I.E.L.D.

"We're pretending that there's no such thing as a pilot, that it's only characters who live in a world where there's superheroes," Whedon said. "We just know at some point they're going to have to go somewhere else. We have a lot of characters and we're always introducing new characters, so while they're going to be missed, we're certainly not going to try to replace them in any way."
