Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander may have just confirmed that they are still in a relationship. The pair was spotted seated together during the 2016 Golden Globe Awards and were also photographed holding hands at the after party.

After almost a year of dating speculations, Fassbender and Vikander finally confirmed that they are together. The Hollywood stars were photographed holding hands at a Golden Globes' afterparty held at the Sunset Tower on Sunday.

A paparazzi shot of the couple holding hand is posted by Mail Online. Vikander, dressed in a long white pleated dress, had her left hand clasped tightly around Fassbender's. They seemed to be waiting for their ride as they stood on the side of the road.

However, it was a different scenario at the awards night. The pair maintained a professional demeanour and hesitated to show any affection. They were seated together though and at one point were caught on video laughing together. Vikander also gave Fassbender a pat on the arm when his name was nominated for his titular role in the "Steve Jobs" biopic.

Pop Sugar added the Hollywood stars were also seen holding hands and cuddling to each other at the Golden Globe Awards. According to Mail Online, the "Man from U.N.C.L.E." actress also rubbed Fassbender's arm when Kate Winslet complimented him for being a great actor during her acceptance speech.

Vikander and Fassbender reportedly started dating in 2014. The pair reportedly met on the set of "The Light Between The Oceans" in 2014, according to Hello Magazine. However, the pair has opted to keep their relationship private. Mail Online claimed they were rarely intimate in public in those moments that they were spotted hanging out together.

They were seen together in May at the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Energy Station at Monte Carlo. They posed side-by-side for a picture but did not show any affection towards each other, Mail Online said. A photo of Vikander and Fassbender at the said event is posted by the site.

The photo shows the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star with his arm around Vikander's waist as they posed for the camera. However, there was reportedly no peck or kissing involved. It's believed the couple are shy when it comes to showing some affection in public.

Vikander and Fassbender were rumored to have split after a nine-month relationship last year. However, their cozy moments at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday belied this rumor.
