'El Chapo' Rumored to Have Undergone Male Enhancement-Surgery While on the run
One of the most wanted men in the world is rumored to have taken the time to undergo male-enhancement surgery while on the run from authorities.
According to Yahoo, sometime between September and October of 2015 Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman underwent elective male-enhancement surgery at a Tijuana hospital.
Guzman escaped custody over the summer by building an elaborate tunnel from his maximum security jail cell to the outside world. It marked the second time over the last 14 years that the notorious drug lord and leader of the Sinoloa cartel had pulled off such a daring feat.
As for his purported surgery, the newspaper Reforma reports he received a testicular implant aimed at improving blood circulation and eradicating the erectile dysfunction condition he is rumored to have suffered from.
"According to sources at the first level in the National Security Commission, [Guzmán] went to Tijuana to receive an aesthetic treatment and undergo a surgery to implant a prosthesis, a procedure that usually requires general anesthetic and an operating room," and which could not be done in the mountains of Sinaloa, reported Mexican journalist Carlos Loret.
Reports are when he was recaptured by Mexican authorities earlier this month, a note for more than 4,000 pesos' worth of drugs to improve sexual performance were found at the home where he had been residing. Among other items reportedly retrieved were injectable testosterone, syringes, antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
Following the surgery, Guzman reportedly had his now infamous meeting with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo and Sean Penn for the Rolling Stone article the Oscar winning actor penned on him.
Guzman is rumored to have long been carrying on a flirtatious relationship with del Castillo leading up to the meeting. She and Penn are now rumored to be under investigation over potential wrongdoings by the Mexican government.
