A fight between two girls got ugly fast at a Florida shopping mall, and when all was said and done, over 200 high school students were seen brawling outside Lauderhill Mall.

The brawl started after word spread about two girls who were going to fight, as well as a reaction to the Travyon Martin murder case. The crowd of teenagers quickly became unruly, and as a result the mall had to be shut down as additional police officers and a SWAT team were called in to calm tensions.

"There was more than 100 [kids]," said Danielle Jozwiak, a shopper at Lauderhill Mall who was at the Dollar Store at the time. "You couldn't even see [the parking lot] they had the sidewalk and the whole road full of kids."

"I just saw a bunch of kids running around," added Christian Parfene, who was part of a construction crew renovating the mall. "I didn't think anything of it [until] I just saw a whole bunch of police officers."

Word of the fight spread after various students took to Facebook and Twitter to let their fellow classmates know. It is not immediately clear why an association has been made between the fighting and the ongoing Trayvon Martin murder case.

"I just heard that anybody that had beef with each other is supposed to come over here and fight," said Frank Francis, who was a witness to the fight. "People was getting hit by [traffic] cones. Like fighting, like a brawl."

The mall quickly went into a partial lock-down state once more police officers came to the scene. Though one boy was sent to the hospital with non-threatening injuries, nobody else was seriously hurt during the incident. Authorities have said that they will not be pressing charges against any of the parties involved.
