Arsenal, Leicester City and Manchester City are still in a tight race for the No. 1 spot in the 2015-16 English Premier League season after Week 22 of competition.

Arsenal settled for a scoreless draw against Stoke on Sunday at Britannia Stadium but managed to stay on top of the Premier League table heading into Week 23.

Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had scoring opportunities for the Gunners but Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland had terrific saves, while his Gunners counterpart, Peter Cech, also denied the home squad's bid of pulling off an upset against them.

Despite failing to secure three points in Week 22, the Gunners retained the spot after Leicester City failed to capitalize. The Foxes also settled for a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday at Villa Park.

Shinji Okazaki put Leicester City ahead in the 28th minute. Riyad Mahrez had golden opportunities to make it 2-0, but he missed two penalties before Rudy Gestede scored the equalizer for Aston Villa in the 75th minute.

"We had the chance to close the match out with the penalty but we missed the penalty and Aston Villa were regenerated," Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri told the league's official website. "They pushed a lot, but we take one point and it's OK. Mahrez is our penalty scorer. He's missed the last two but it's important how he reacts now."

With the draw, the Foxes remained leveled with the Gunners with 44 points apiece in 22 matches, but Arsenal hold the better goal difference.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are now just one point behind Arsenal and Leicester City after cruising to a 4-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday a Etihad Stadium.

Fabian Delph opened the scoring parade for the host in the 22nd minute, while Sergio Aguero hit the target in the 41st and 68th minute. David Silva also made his presence felt with his own strike in the 84th minute. The win gave Manchester City their 43rd point in 22 matches.
