The last update for Xbox One was a big step for the team with a system overhaul and the introduction of key features such as backwards compatibility. With home runs such as these, the gamers are already looking forward to the next one. The wait is not quite over, but players can expect word on the next big Xbox One update soon.

According to a report from Express UK, Microsoft executive Mike Ybarra took to Twitter recently to update the fans on the upcoming patch for the latest generation console.

"Pay attention next week," he tweeted as a response to a fan inquiry on the social media website.

That's pretty much all he spilled on the update and the team has mostly kept mum on the upcoming features and fixes. However, Ybarra has already previously hinted at a key feature that might be making its way to the console, according to a previous report from Latin Post.

The executive posted a video on his Twitter account of the upcoming party feature, which will potentially allow players to see the other players in the party before actually joining it. While Microsoft has not officially confirmed this particular addition as part of the next update, Ybarra showing it to his followers indicate it's at least in the development process.

The Xbox One update is expected to be out in February. It is usually offered first to Preview Program members before it's available to the general public.

System tweaks aren't the only thing Xbox players can look forward to. This week, Live Gold subscribers are granted access to the Vault of EA Access, according to a report from Forbes. While EA Access usually costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, the Live Gold members will be able to enjoy it for free for a glorious week.

With this perk comes a slew of free games from the developer: "Battlefield 4," "Battlefield Hardline," "Dragon Age Inquisition," "EA Sports UFC," "FIFA 14," "FIFA 15," "Madden 14," "Madden 25," "NBA Live 15," "Need for Speed Rivals," "NHL 15," "Peggle 2," "Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare" and "Titanfall."

It's a lot of popular, free titles for fans of the different genres and EA is hoping to entice the players to subscribe after giving them a taste of the experience. Players who decide to avail of EA Access will get a 10 percent discount for new games.

The games will be free until Jan. 24.
