Former world champion Amir Khan is looking forward to facing the winner of the upcoming fight between Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero, which will take place on Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The World Boxing Council recently announced that the upcoming Garcia-Guerrero fight will be for the WBC welterweight title, which was deemed vacant after Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his retirement.

Khan, who has not fought since scoring a unanimous decision win against Chris Algieri in May last year, was named as mandatory challenger, which means the winner of the Garcia-Guerrero title bout has to defend the title against the former junior welterweight champion.

If he will have it his way, Khan said that he wants to face Garcia, who is WBC's No. 2 contender in the middleweight division. The Briton said in an interview with Sy Ahmed that he is hoping Garcia will win because he wants to avenge his defeat against the Philadelphia native, but he also clarified that he is willing to face Guerrero if he wins on Saturday.

"He's number two and he's fighting for it," Khan said of Garcia. "It gives me a chance to win the title and get that rematch against him which I've been looking for - for a long, long time. Hopefully the Danny Garcia rematch is something that can happen this summer. Whoever wins that in Guerrero-Garcia, I'll fight them."

Khan, who owns a 31-3 record with 19 knockout victories, took a fourth-round knockout defeat to Garcia during their WBC and World Boxing Association super lightweight title fight in July 2012. Watch the highlights for the Garcia-Khan fight below.

But before facing Garcia or Guerrero for the WBC welterweight title, Khan said that he is planning to have one more fight. In fact, the Bolton native revealed that he has started training for a possible bout in March, but his camp is still looking for possible opponents.

Khan was recently linked anew to a showdown against fellow Briton Kell Brook, who is the reigning International Boxing Federation welterweight champion. The 35-0 fighter believes Khan will now agree to face him after failing to get his dream bouts against Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

"The fight against me is there to be made, it's the biggest fight out there for him, and he's got nowhere to hide now," Brook said in a recent interview. "The biggest fight out there for the fans is for me and Khan to fight each other. Eddie Hearn has said it looks good but I've heard it before and until a contract is signed I won't get excited."
