Drew Barrymore Baby: 'The Wedding Singer' Star Welcomes Second Child With Husband Will Kopelman
Thirty-nine-year-old "Blended" actress Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman have a new bundle of joy, and it's a baby girl!
Barrymore gave birth to her second child and second daughter with Kopelman on Tuesday. Their first daughter Olive is now a big sister at just 19 months old.
"Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman," the couple told PEOPLE in a statement. "Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!"
When Barrymore and Kopelman first had their daughter Olive, they kept things on the hush. But this time around the couple of two years took a very different approach with baby Frankie.
"Last time I never commented on it, and people just stalked me the entire time. So yes, it's happening, it's true," Barrymore said in December when announcing she was pregnant with Frankie at the time.
She continued, "When I found out (about my pregnancy) I was overjoyed. It always feels so surreal, it's incredible. (I'm feeling) incredible, that 'Here we go again' feeling. And blessed. Blessed! You're so lucky to get to do it. It's such a miracle. I just felt really lucky."
Barrymore has also expressed how excited she was to be having another girl.
"I'm relieved I'm having another girl. I have everything I need. It's all about hand-me-downs and room sharing and all that stuff," she told PEOPLE in February. "I'm pretty psyched about that!"
So now that Frankie is finally here, it's pretty safe to say that Barrymore and Kopelman are pretty stoked. Will they stop at two? Maybe. But judging by her past comments about having lots of children and a big family one day, Barrymore will more than likely aim to give Olive and Frankie a brother or another sister.
"I grew up as an only child, and although that really works for some people and for some parents that's the way they want to do it ... I want to be the Griswolds," Barrymore once said on "The Tonight Show" in September, referring to actor Chevy Chase's family from the "National Lampoon's Vacation" films. "I want the kids in the back rolling their eyes at Mom and Dad. I want Rusty and Audrey, theme parks and the whole nine."
Congratulations Drew and Will! We look forward to see how your family grows in the future!
