iOS 9.3 Jailbreak Tool Created Hours After iOS 9.3 Beta is Released
There is still no public iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool available, but an Italian hacker claims to have successfully jailbroken both iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3. The hacker has told his Twitter followers that he will not be releasing the tools to the public.
The two biggest jailbreak teams, Pangu and TaiG are still looking for ways to jailbreak iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 but have been unsuccessful, Crossmap reports.
No Public Jailbreak Yet
Pangu and TaiG have been unsuccessful with finding a way to jailbreak the latest software that is available to the public, iOS 9.2. The Italian hacker Luca Todesco provided a sceenshot showing he was able to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1 and then claimed he was able to jailbreak iOS 9.3, which is still in beta.
Apple is still testing out iOS 9.3 to developers and beta testers, but Todesco says he was able to jailbreak the beta within hours of it becoming available.
It appears that Todesco is two steps ahead of both Pangu and TaiG, but he refuses to release his findings to the public. The only hope for the jailbreak community is that Pangu or TaiG finds a way to get a hold of Todesco's findings and they create their own jailbreak tool.
A Hacker Could be Helping Apple
It is also possible that Apple has hired Todesco to help them improve their security. If he was able to find exploits in both iOS 9.2.1 and the beta for iOS 9.3, Apple probably wants to know how he is doing this and they might be paying him for his intel.
Apple already has released two betas of iOS 9.3, beta 1 and beta 1.1. Apple might already be aware of the exploits that Todesco has found in the beta version of iOS 9.3 and they could be already in the process of patching them up before they release the final version of iOS 9.3.
The latest working public jailbreak is for iOS 9.0 and iOS 9.0.1. Anyone who has upgraded to iOS 9.1 or later cannot jailbreak their device.
