Selena Gomez rocked the Sundance Festival with superb acting that left her fans speechless. Though the singer-actress has already starred in more than 30 films, SelGo stated that she still hasn't touched the surface of her acting career as per Latino Fox News. She then mentioned that despite her booming music career, she wanted to explore and expand her talent in acting.

In one of her interviews with Variety, the pop singer told the reporters that "I think there's a lot for me to explore, I'm in a place with my music where I've gone through this transition and I feel with this album I've been able to grow as an artist. But I feel like in acting, I haven't touched the surface of what I'm able to do."

During the premiere of her film "The Fundamentals of Caring" at the Sundance Festival this weekend, Gomez dished out some details in regards to her role as a hitchhiker traveling to Colorado.

Selena introduced her character Dot, by telling the reporters that "She's rebellious. She's vulnerable. She says what she's feeling, At the same time, you can tell there's a lot of insecurity that lies beneath her -- with her family, in things that she's dealt with in her life -- and I think I relate to that."

The film revolves around the story of "three broken people" as described by Gomez, and their journey that led the group into discovering that each of them is special upon dealing with their own emotional turmoil.

One of her co-stars Paul Rudd told Latino Fox News that "I was so taken with her, and how lovely and unaffected and sweet she is. I really am just crazy about her." 

He then added that Selena makes it a point to "be kind to other people" by going out of her way to help other.

As for Craig Roberts on the other hand, he described Selena Gomez as someone who is "down to earth, amazing and very professional."

The 23-year-old pop star wore a Tory Burch sweater and black leggings with a Givenchy boots during the premiere night.

Selena Gomez went through rough waters during the previous year as she struggled in keeping her relationship issues with Justin Bieber off the headlines.

Aside from her rocky relationship (wherein they eventually called it quits), SelGo was also diagnosed with lupus, which is an autoimmune disease that caused her to take a break from the limelight and cancel some of her concerts back in 2013.
