Fans have been waiting for "The Division" for some time now. A select number of players were able to indulge in the closed beta of the game recently, but the rest of the community need not fret as an open beta is reportedly on the horizon. Ubisoft will be launching it later this month with a runtime from Feb. 16 to Feb. 21.

According to a report from Game Spot, the plans for an open beta were revealed with a photo on the Xbox Italy Facebook Page. The image was taken down, but not before the gaming community has grabbed a hold of the news, and the community is already buzzing at the prospect of another go at the much-anticipated game.

Aside from the date of the reported open beta, it was also revealed that Xbox players will be able to play the open beta one day ahead of other platforms. This is the same set-up as the one exercised in the closed beta.

Although the Xbox Italy team made the announcement, fans should remember that Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the plans of an open beta for "The Division." The developer has not yet commented on the buzz surrounding the upcoming release.

While the team has kept mum on the beta news, Ubisoft has addressed more alarming headlines surrounding the game. Notably, a representative of the company took to the official Ubisoft forums to speak out on the cheating issues that ran rampant on the PC platform upon the closed beta experience.

"Over the last few days, we have seen an unprecedented level of interest for the Closed Beta," the statement began. "We are looking into your feedback with care and we are thrilled by your passion and enthusiasm!"

Ubisoft continued, "We are aware of the cheating issues in the Closed Beta on PC. The team is fully committed to providing solutions against this and a system will be in place to ensure a fair experience for players when the game is released on March 8."

According to a separate report from Game Spot, some of the cheats that have emerged are players finding a way to get unlimited health and ammo, super-speed, critical hit chance, no recoil, and unlimited medical kits. These are expected to be straightened out for the launch.

"The Division" for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC is slated for release on March 8.
