Jourdan Dunn Cut from Dior Fashion Show Because Her 'Boobs Were Too Big'
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn was surprised by her last-minute cut from this week's Christian Dior's haute couture Fall/Winter 2013-2014 fashion show in Paris. Even more surprising was the reason: her breasts are too big.
The five-foot-ten model isn't exactly large-chested; her profile lists her as a 32A, but in the world of high fashion, designers often strive for particular, homogenous looks. This particular show featured models in outfits that exposed their (small) breasts.
The Jamaican model has been cut from shows before, but usually for more insidious reasons.
Dior has taken some heat recently, as industry insiders have charged Raf Simons with spurning models of color. This week's show, however, did placate some critics, and several of the models onstage were black or Asian. However, this is the first time a black model has been used in the last seven of Dior's shows.
