Vin Diesel, star of the "Fast & Furious" action movie series, posted news of the premiere dates for the next three films on Instagram earlier this week. The release dates run all the way from April 2017 to April 2021.

"Happy Toretto Tuesday," he wrote, referencing his series character Dominic Toretto. "P.s. The studio has asked me to release some very big Fast news... Give me a minute though, for I am still in that Xander state of Mind."

Diesel is currently hard at work filming "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," which is slated to hit theaters sometime next year.

As for "Fast & Furious," recent rumors also indicate Eva Mendes' character Monica Fuentes could be in line for her own spin-off film series. She is widely rumored to be making her return to the series in the upcoming "Furious 8."

Mendes first got deeply involved in the series in "2 Fast 2 Furious" in 2003, in which she starred as an undercover agent, ultimately becoming the love interest of Brian O'Connor, played by the now deceased Paul Walker.

News that Mendes may now be under consideration for her own spin off was first reported by We Got This Covered. The final decision is said to heavily depend on how well audiences respond to her character in "Furious 8."

Mendes' character is reported to be "central to the storyline." Rumors are also circulating that the character's son, possibly a child she had with O'Conner, could be added to the plot.

In the past, Diesel has hinted that producers were interested in continuing to build the brand as long as it remains popular. According to Slash Film, last year's "Fast & Furious 7" raked in $1.5 billion at the box officer.

"We've written out storylines for various characters," he said. "We've been playing with it for a long time. It's a very rich property and we're committed to treating it with a lot of class."
