Latin America, with the countries' advancements in technology and abundance of its resources, is considered to be one of the perfect grounds for many different business opportunities around the globe. Lorena Lopez saw how Latin America could become an asset in the business field so she took advantage of it.

She then created her own startup the Latin Trade Links, the platform that helps foreign investors, specifically those from UK, to develop and establish business relationship with the local entrepreneurs and suppliers from Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil.

"Having a close affinity to Latin America, I'm passionate about taking part in building bridges between businesses and, more importantly, the people behind them, in the United Kingdom and in Latin America," Lopez told The Story Exchange.

Lopez's Latin Trade Links is a business that promotes international trade while acting as a link between markets and businesses in the most effective and efficient way. The company identify possible clients, strategic trade partners, suppliers and distributors in the market. It will then collaborates with these people throughout the entire transaction for customers and tax advisory services, logistic support and tax advisory services.

The goal of Lopez's Latin Trade Links is to strengthen the ties of each company and promote trade relations between the companies of Latin America and U.K. Lopez believed that eventually both parties will benefit from the setup.

"Our intention is to foster trade and commercial ties that in the long run build a stronger LATAM-UK market and generate social and economic growth in communities and businesses on both sides of the Atlantic," Lopez shared.

According to Latin Trade Links, aside from assisting businesses, the company also promotes investment opportunities for Latin America by advising other foreign entrepreneurs to invest in the country. As these entrepreneurs come and invest in Latin America, the more the economy rate will increase, benefiting not just the entrepreneurs but all Latinos as well.

"I am an advocate for international trade and the benefits it offers companies and economies and, most importantly, how that adds value to individuals quality of life," she added.

For Lopez her biggest success was when she got the opportunity to work on her own business, overcome her fears of failing and be able push herself to improve and achieve her goals. "My biggest success has been taking the leap to work on my own business, steering that motivation to achieve and tackling the inherent fears of failure that rarely dissipate."
