Sparks will fly between Jane and her hunky English professor after she admits to having feelings for him in the next all-new episode of "Jane The Virgin."

The synopsis for "Chapter Thirty-Three" reveals that baby Mateo will swallow the engagement ring Rogelio planned to give to Xiomara (Andrea Navedo), while Jane (Gina Rodriguez) has a strange dream that exposes her feelings towards Prof. Jonathan Chavez (Adam Rodriguez).

“Rogelio plans to propose to Xo, but Mateo swallows the ring he was going to use. Meanwhile, Jane dreams about Prof. Chavez, leading her to wonder how she truly feels about him; and Michael has a realization regarding Rose and Mutter,” it reads, according to TV Guide.

The promo video for the upcoming episode shows Xo giving her daughter advice about how to tell if Prof. Chavez likes her as more than just a student. In the clip, Xo tells her to look for cues that could mean that he likes her and how to properly respond to them.

However, Jane ends us misinterpreting one sign and assumes that he is trying to kiss her when he was actually trying to open her car door.

“There’s a misread signal, and it actually leads to something really funny,” Rodriquez told Entertainment Weekly. in a recent interview. “I think this mixed signal leads to a place where we can get some real answers about where Jane is heading,” he added.

Despite getting Chavez’s signals crossed, Rodriguez commended Jane for pursuing a deeper relationship with her professor now that her ex-fiancé Michael (Brett Dier) and baby’s father Rafael (Justin Baldoni) are temporarily out of the picture.

“The worst thing you can do in that situation is not say anything. Either nothing happens and you never know what the outcome of that would have been or you get your feelings hurt and move on in life and you’ll be okay,” said the actor. “Those are the moments that make you strong and I think Jane has always been a great example of that throughout the show. She’s someone who will confront her feelings head on, no matter how long it might take her to figure it out.”

Season 2, Episode 9 of "Jane the Virgin," "Chapter Thirty-Two," will premiere on Monday, Feb. 8 on The CW.
