Puerto Rican singer Kany Garcia used Valentine's Day to come out to her fans. The singer also revealed the woman she fell in love with, her personal trainer Jocelyn Troche.

Garcia could not hide her her romantic relationship with her personal trainer anymore during the Valentine's weekend. She took to her Instagram and posted a picture of them together, while writing a lengthy admission of her sexual orientation, in Spanish but translated to English by Fox News.

She said the "weekend of lovers" is the perfect time to reveal who she is and who she loves. She added that her love removed all her fears of coming out. "Love always wins, always sets one free and always transforms. Today I want to put my fears aside and face my truth. That is how I share with you this very special photo with this extraordinary woman who has stolen my heart," she said.

She shared that this is her way to share her "abundance" to her fans. For her, anyone who speaks with love and honesty can only reap good things.

The multi-talented performer who writes, sings, plays the guitar and produces added that at the end of the day and of her life, all she wants to be faithful to is to herself. The winner of two Latin Grammys also said that to love can never be considered a sin.

The artist was once married to Carlos Padial in 2010. The two stayed together up until 2013, when they got divorced. She joins a growing community of gay Puerto Rican artists, one of which is the famous Ricky Martin.

The gay pop star celebrated in his native Puerto Rico earlier this month as he receives a star on the country's new Walk of Fame, as celebrated by Contact Music. He joined the first few who already received their sidewalk plaques since the Walk was established back in December 2015. The "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer could not be more thrilled, posting a photo of him on Instagram and expressing his gratitude.

It was in 2010 when the singer revealed that he is a "fortunate homosexual man" as reported by People magazine. Like Kany today, he also said that being true to himself is important. He added that "acceptance has to come from within," and that being true can be powerful, in spite of all of his fears and worries. He said many told him not to come out at the height of his career, so he let the years went by. Ultimately, he realized his inner peace relied on him being true, so he decided to come out.
